Bang-Bang is a show about war movies, with an anti-imperialist twist. Van Jackson is a veteran of the US Air Force and a former Pentagon strategist from the Obama administration. Lyle Jeremy Rubin served in the US Marine Corps and authored the award-winning memoir, Pain is Weakness Leaving the Body. We aren’t just military vets—we’re antiwar advocates and film junkies.

We both more or less came of age during the “Global War on Terror”…regrets, we’ve had a few. We both also came to view war as a racket—an enterprise that benefits elites and sacrifices working folks. But we also love war movies! So we grapple with all that pain and humor in every episode.
